I have a new machine, the installation of new legal XP Home, everything seems fine, but a problem with USB ...

I have an external USB hard drive is getting from the other computers (all XP seen) and is a conductor. When I connect to the new machine, nothing happens for about 20 seconds, then the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the taskbar.

The HD is formatted into 2 partitions of 30 GB, and is regarded as the disk E and F for all other machines, and declared the withdrawal of the devices, but the message is only "peripheral storage" two to both "New Hardware Found" message, and click on "Safely Remove".

It does not appear in "My Computer" at all, and I can not access a file in tHard drive.

Have BT Broadband - Voyager 2091-router if the USB connection (only 1 LAN connection as well!) After 20 minutes the connection dies, and I have hard reset it.

BT said by telephone trying Outa Sync, Lan - ok, USB - not ok!
