I want to be able to my PS3 to my computer screen, get in touch (which has no AV out ...)

No, the PS3 and Xbox various products from each other. I know there are adapters you can buy to do that. Check places like Radio Shack or Fry's Electronics.
Cable Xbox 360 does not work with the PS3, you must buy one for the PS3. They sell in stores everywhere, but if I feel I would be cheaper on eBay, Craigslist or elsewhere.
